Falling away from you was so silent I never told you,
I reached out my arm but it was too late, I was out of sight,
As I turned to see how far I'm falling I came to a sudden stop,
Lying on the floor wondering why things turned out like this,
Its not to late to apologize, but lying here is presumptuous,
The universe seems so small when I imagine just you and I,
With planets at our fingertips, shooting stars and cosmic beams
I feel at home in this silence, but you can't stay quite can you?
Can't turn back now, were way to far from home,
But suddenly I awake to you talking in your sleep, counting sheep,
You're lips move but your words are beyond my understanding,
You will one day learn of me falling but for now sleep
As I leave you for the night, you will wake up in silence
I will be with you, but not by your side.
